Griselda Mendez, 28, of Haverhill, went to the Lawrence police at 4: 50 p. m. Wednesday to report her Federal Express package was delivered to the wrong address.
She told police the package containing the shoes, was supposed to have been delivered to Maxi Fashions at 208 Essex St., but instead went to 208 Lawrence St., where someone at the Diamante Restaurant signed for them.
Mendez told police an employee at Swag City, a clothing store also at 208 Lawrence St., took possession of the package.
Mendez told police she went to 208 Lawrence St., to try to find the package and went into a salon at that address, where she was told no package had been delivered there.
She then went into Swag City where she spoke to an employee who called the owner of the business. The owner told her a female employee brought the package to the salon.
Police said when she told the owner she had gone to the salon and they told her no package had been delivered, he then told her the female employee had put the package somewhere and he did not know where it was.
She then told the owner she was going to the police.
Police said Officer William Green printed the tracking form from Federal Express and the form showed the package was delivered Wednesday, March 7 at 12: 21 p. m. and that the package contained one pair of Christian Louboutin Burlina shoes, valued at $895.
